Leaders in Safety and Occupational Health Higher Education.
You are well on your way to another semester of impacting the lives of the women and men who have chosen to serve in a profession that holds paramount public safety and health, environmental stewardship, and property protection. The Board of Certified Safety Professionals Foundation and the National Safety Council enthusiastically believe in those same social responsibilities, and it is a personal pleasure to actively support both organizations.
I invite you to join me this Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Central Time (CT) at the National Safety Council Green Cross for Safety® awards. This virtual event will celebrate the impacts of a variety of outstanding projects and organizations that are working to save lives and prevent injuries, from the workplace to anyplace. This year’s event will feature entrepreneur and Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec and co-host of NBC Chicago’s “Chicago Today” Cortney Hall in the recognition of the best and the brightest in safety. Herjavec, one of North America’s most recognizable business leaders, will share why the value of people is more important than ever and how the ability to adapt is the key to our future. Registration is complimentary for all guest, and can be completed on the Green Cross for Safety webpage.
In their own way, the National Safety Council and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals Foundation are making strategic investments to impact professional advancement, from youth safety through to corporate thought leaders, and in innovation, technology, and research. I hope that you are able to join me Thursday evening as we celebrate world-class organizations and individuals and be inspired to pursue the limitless possibilities necessary to build a safer global community.
Very respectfully,
Tony Militello, CSP, P.E.
Vice Chair, Board of Certified Safety Professionals Foundation
