CSP Award of Excellence
Bala Siva Srikanth Adivi, CSP, CFIOSH, is a TPL Specialist I for the Kuwait Oil Company in North Kuwait with 23 years of safety, health, and environmental experience. He is a BCSP Ambassador and extends his voluntary services to various professional associations, including American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Global Society of HSE Professionals (GSHP).
Adivi has received numerous awards, the most recent being the 2020 ASSP Society Level Safety Professional of the Year Award. He has presented more than 40 technical papers at various international platforms and won the Best Paper Presenter Award at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) conference. Additionally, he won the Kuwait Oil Company’s CEO Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) Award twice and was instrumental in helping his organization twice receive the ASSP Safety Innovation Award.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Andhra University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Nagpur University, both in India.
CHST Award of Excellence
Raghuvaran Chakkravarthy, SMS, CHST, STSC, GSP, is a health and safety professional overseeing both U.S. and international federal projects worldwide for Gilbane Building Company. Chakkravarthy is experienced in vertical and horizontal construction and fluent in practical health and safety recommendations. He is proficient in simplifying risk management challenges and minimizing or eliminating risks through safe design in construction.
Chakkravarthy led Gilbane to its first-ever Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) Star status from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). He specializes in the development of safety management systems and mental health and suicide prevention programs. Recently, Chakkravarthy shared the stage as a panelist at the Construction Working Minds Summit for mental health and suicide prevention to discuss a “culture of care and physiological safety.” He was also invited to Anna University in Chennai, India, as a guest speaker for the National Safety Conference and has published articles in the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) Professional Safety Journal.
Chakkravarthy earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Anna University and a master’s in occupational health and safety from Columbia Southern University in addition to achieving safety certifications in both the U.S. and U.K. He has worked full-time in safety since 2008.
