Beginning February 3, 2020, non-U.S. degree holders who wish to apply for the Associate Safety Professional® (ASP®) and Certified Safety Professional® (CSP®) certifications may upload their academic records directly to BCSP during the application process.Â
- This change will streamline the evaluation process for non-U.S. degree holders, making it more efficient and aligning it with the evaluation process for U.S. degrees.
- It was determined that this change can be implemented without affecting the validity of the evaluation process. BCSP vets ALL degrees to ensure they meet the academic requirements before an application is approved.
- Non-U.S. degrees will continue to be evaluated under the same rigorous standards as they always have been, without the additional cost to applicants. BCSP has contracted with a NACES member to provide evaluation oversight.*
- Equal opportunities of entry to certification is key in obtaining a standardized, worldwide base of safety knowledge.
Becoming the leader in global safety is BCSP’s mission. As we continue to grow globally, BCSP is committed to continuous improvement and breaking down barriers of entry for qualified safety professionals, while maintaining our high standards of accountability and fairness to all candidates.
*non-U.S. degree evaluations may require additional materials or research to complete an evaluation, which could result in expense to the applicant (i.e., fees to obtain their academic records from their institution, shipping, etc.)
