Christy Uden, CAE, IOM was named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) in May 2021. Uden has served BCSP for 15 years, most recently as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Uden graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Master of Science (MS) in Health Communication. Additionally, she achieved the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) and the American Society of Association Executives’ (ASAE) Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification. Having demonstrated responsibility in maintaining BCSP credentials’ quality while leading the collaborative development of new initiatives valuable to BCSP credential holders, Uden’s institutional knowledge and expertise ensure the organization’s commitment to its values, mission, and vision.
